Moseley Road Baths CIO seeks new chairperson to take the plunge..!

We are seeking a chairperson or co-chair for Moseley Road Baths CIO to take forward our exciting and challenging community swimming venture as part of the restoration of a much loved and highly significant heritage building.

Our group of dedicated volunteers has been working together for the last two years on this exciting project to secure a future for swimming at Moseley Road Baths in Balsall Heath. That group is now becoming the Moseley Road Baths CIO and is seeking a new chair to take them to the next level of its development.

You will need to have:

  • governance experience
  • an enthusiasm for, knowledge of and commitment to our mission and purpose (see below and business plan)
  • excellent collaborative working skills
  • to be open to different perspectives and committed to diversity
  • to  have the intention to be available for a term of at least three years.

The role is voluntary, with expenses reimbursed where appropriate. Trustees are happy to consider co-chairing or vice chair arrangements to ensure the workload is manageable.

This is an exciting opportunity to help initiate and develop a new future for Moseley Road Baths through a community-run swimming operation. If you are interested, please contact the current chair Karen Leach for an initial conversation before applying. You can then send your CV, along with a short covering email outlining why you are interested and how you meet the skills profile, to keepswimming@moseleyroadbaths.org.uk.

The deadline is 31st January 2018.

We are also seeking one or two new trustees, ideally with skills in pool/leisure management, so please do contact us if this may be of interest, too.

We look forward to hearing from you!
